Why Families Choose Us

A practice built around your pace

No Pressure, No Rush

Every consultation moves at your pace. We do not use urgency language or push you toward decisions before you feel settled and ready.

Plain Language Always

Legal documents can feel dense and distant. We translate every finding and recommendation into language that is straightforward for you and your family.

Family Welcome

You are encouraged to bring a family member or trusted companion to any meeting. Having familiar company often makes difficult conversations easier to navigate.

Strict Confidentiality

Your pension details and personal circumstances are held in complete confidence. We observe Malaysian Bar Council professional conduct rules without exception.

Deep Local Knowledge

We work specifically within the Malaysian pension framework — KWSP, Kumpulan Wang Persaraan, and civil service statutory schemes — and understand how these interact with personal estate planning.

Phone and In-Person Options

We are happy to conduct initial consultations by telephone for clients who find travel difficult, and our Bukit Bintang office is accessible by public transport.

Is your pension entitlement what it should be?

Many retirees and pre-retirees discover gaps in contribution records or miscalculated benefits only after they have left employment. A careful review now can make a meaningful difference.

Common Questions

Questions we hear most often

What happens at a first consultation?
We begin with a relaxed conversation about your circumstances — what pension you hold, what concerns you, and what outcome would feel satisfactory. There is no obligation to proceed further, and no paperwork is signed at this stage. The aim is simply for you to leave with a clearer sense of where you stand.
How long does a pension entitlement review typically take?
Most reviews are completed within two to four weeks of receiving the relevant documents. KWSP records and employer contribution statements can usually be obtained within one to two weeks. We keep you informed throughout and call to update you at each stage.
Can family members attend meetings on behalf of an elderly parent?
Yes, we encourage this. A family member or trusted companion is welcome at any meeting. If a client has difficulty attending in person, we can arrange telephone or home visit consultations for those whose mobility is limited, subject to availability.
What documents should I bring to a first meeting?
Bring whatever you have to hand — your MyKad, any KWSP statements, your employment letter or last payslip, and any correspondence from your former employer or pension authority. If you are unsure what is relevant, bring the documents and we will work through them together.
Do you handle disputes with private sector employers as well as the government?
Yes. We work with clients from both the private sector and the civil service. KWSP (EPF) disputes, employer contribution shortfalls, and statutory pension scheme queries all fall within our work. Each case is assessed individually before we advise on the most suitable approach.
What does succession planning for pension assets involve?
This service looks at how your pension savings and EPF balance will pass to your surviving spouse, children, or dependants. We review existing nomination forms, discuss whether a will is appropriate, and where relevant, explore hibah and amanah arrangements suited to your family's circumstances. The conversation is unhurried and can take place over more than one meeting.
